UltraRunning Magazine 2009 Year in Review
Mar 19th, 2010, 7:39pm

This issue of UltraRunning has the year in review-pretty fun to look at some of the stats.  36,106 total ultra finishes last year by over 19,000 different runners.

I'm still amazed that somehow McNaughton is never in any of the results.  I'm hoping that we may get Farmdale in next years issue with the addition of the 50 miler.

I do have to note as a proud brother, that my brother Scott had the 32nd fastest 100 mile time last year--17:34:18 at Kettle Morraine.

What that 32nd fastest time be during a race that you paced him?  What was the course? That's really cool.  I'd like to see what he'd do at McNaughton if you could get him to come race it.  Get him to come do the Farmdale 50!!

I wasn't pacing him on that.  It was at Kettle in Wisconsin.  We were doing the relay.  I actually started with him-then Matt Condron (doing the 100k) runs up and I introduce Scott to him.  They strike up a conversation and I realize that if I try to run much further with these two-I'm screwed.  So I said my goodbyes and watched them run off in the distance.

He may come someday to Farmdale.  I know he'd come if we did the 100 mile.  Soooo, maybe next year.

I don't get that mag either, but I'd sure like to see the photo.  Would you please bring it to McNaughton?  Melody won't be there but maybe Mike will autograph...

DOH!!!  As soon as I saw your post Chris, I knew I probably already got it and just misplaced it - sure enough, it was sitting under a pile of crap in the den!  Awesome pic, you two - you're all color coordinated and everything (and love the chicken hat)!  Another running acquaintance, James Faford, is in the frame just below.
