McNaughton Park Trail Runs In Vermont
Apr 27th, 2010, 1:14pm

As I had mentioned earlier in the year I decided to run the new 100 miler Andy Weinberg is putting on in Vermont.  Soooooo  Donna Creditor (doing the 100), Steve Barr (doing the 30 miler), and Janna Kiefer (doing the 30 miler) are all going to pile in the car Wednesday the 5th and head to Vermont.  I however decided not to do the 100 miler but go ahead and change my entry to the 200 miler (actually I was going to do the 150 miler but Andy, my great ol buddy, says "Mike, you have already finished the 150 why not challenge yourself and do the 200??", why not......) So I will begin next Thursday the 6th at 6PM EST and begin to run and continue to run and run and run.  My goal will be to finish the 200 miles between 60 and 64 hours, shear exhaustion will dictate what my actual finsh time will be though.

But during this epic event for me I am going to be trying to raise $$ for St. Jude.  Please visit my Facebook link at

for more information.  (hopefully I will not get kicked off the forum for promoting a fund raising for St. Jude)

what's going to be the most fun is the car ride home!!!!  When Mike is sleeping off 200 miles and a growler or two of beer....Remember those parties where you had fun with the passed out guy????? Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting: "HOLY SH*T, WHAT A RIDE!" unknown

No Way am I taking the Saturn.  Put a new windshield in it and then killed a deer with it last week but it still is getting 36 MPG, just keeps on a ticking.  New windshield is ok but had to put new Driver side headlamp assembly and need to now find some matching blue duct tape to fix the rest of it.

Well, I am signed up lucky number 7 on Andy's 200 mile event.  That just MUST mean SOMETHING, right?

Good luck to everyone going out to the "other" McNaughton.  Drive safely, and have a great time on the trails!
