Mike, best of luck.  Tell Andy "hello" from me and my sons, the "SWEET" boys.  Andy was their highschool swim coach.

Thanks guys, well I will be eastward bound after work today.  Leaving for Vermont at 6pm from Donna's in Normal.  "Normal" now there is a word.  "Normal" is running 200 miles through the Green Mountains in Vt?  Man, I really should have just bought that fishing boat a few years back and "normal" would have a different meaning to me  Smiley  It is very doable, a couple of 70 or 75 mile days and that will leave just a little 50 miler for the final day.  Andy sent out an email letting us know that we will only have water at our 5 mile aid station and no HEED, the bears like it, that's nice!
There is cell service so I am planning on posting my status on my Facebook page, but probably only every 50 miles.  Andy is not having a live webcast for this event.

Good luck Mike and Donna,
We'll all be thinking of you (most of us will be thinking...Boy, am I glad I'm not Mike!) this weekend.

Mike, On the one hand, most people who question their own sanity/normalcy are not in much danger of losing it: Quote:

On the other hand:

If you ever needed an insanity defense in court, this would speak in your favor.

Have fun guys!   Cheesy

actually, 200 miles really does not appear to be that BIG of a deal anyhow, the guys running the 500 miler just checked in at the 200 mile mark last night, just 300 more to go.

No webcast, I am friends on FB with one of the 500 mile runners and his wife so I keep getting updates from her what is going on for right now.  Actually if next year will lean more towards the 500, that really sounds like a blast!!!

500 miles = ten 50 mile days in a row.  Shocked

Shakes head in awe....

If you feel good during an ultra, don't worry. You'll get over it.

Ryan Dexter just pulled off another win at McNaughton in Vermont again 200 miles in 51 hours, knocked almost 10 hours off of his PR from last year.  Awesome job!!!  That is what makes ultras so addictive, when you beat your PR it is usually by HOURS Smiley

Did the 500 mile guy finish?  Last I heard from Donna, he was at 330 miles sometime yesterday.
