Hi everyone:
Just heard from Debbie.  I was getting a little worried, but she said not to freak out if we didn't hear because they have no phone service at the park at all. She had to drive almost an hour to town for phone service to get through to me.
They met him at the check point of 44 miles at 6.23PM.  He is doing good, staying hydrated and in good spirits but not going quite as fast as he thought he would.  Weather has been good, but with sun going down it was starting to get colder.  He changed clothes and ate and was on his way again.  Wayne is running with him now to the next aid station (about 7 miles).  Then Dex with have another aid station about 9 miles after that. So far no blisters or anything.
Debbie will get to see him again at the 68 mile check point sometime before 3 am.  He is running with 9 other guys from central Illinois and they are all doing good.
Debbie said will update us again in the morning, but that we should not worry.  Because of phone service and time change.
We wish him well. and hope that Debbie and Doug can get some sleep
