Just heard from Dexter's family:
Quote:

Hi everyone:
Just heard from Deb.  Dexter did not make it to the 68 mile check point on time. [Cutoff was 3:00 DST]  He was about an hour late, so was eliminated from the race.  Wayne stayed with him the whole 22 miles between the two checkpoints.  Dexter was falling asleep while running, and they were walking a lot.  Glad that Wayne was with him.  They are both doing OK but exhausted.  Proud to say he made 68 miles, and very happy that everyone is OK.  They will be home tonight and I'm sure will update you further.

More info--

Greg had to drop at 77m, cutoff at one aid station was 5:30am and he got there right at 5:30.

jack went out "blazing fast" as greg put it and had to DNF due to  torn up feet. Donna DNFed at mile 35 and Rachel furman DNFed at about 43. There were 3 finsihers--BJ, spencer and paul.

THANKS OLLIE.  It was rough Shocked.....hard to keep in front of cut offs, the first 20 miles very technical.  Finally didn't a cut off after 5 minutes here and there of coming in ahead of them... Thanks for everyone's well wishes!!!
Next up for me after the Deer Grove FatAss November 20 is Across The Years in Phoenix, AZ.  it's over New Years at the Nardini Manor, a loop course with lots of support... and since its a 24 hour run there can't be any DNF's there.... Wink

IVS runners looked great out there at OT....Nice job.

Lifes journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting: "HOLY SH*T, WHAT A RIDE!" unknown

Wasn't Mike Siltman running this one as well?  Anyone know if he finished?

Never mind.  According to Mike's facebook page, he was sick and didn't go.
