Great time this afternoon at Burnzee's.  Lots of laughs and darn good burgers.  Ann Schmitt is on my list as one of the most creative and thoughtful people I know.  My welter weight champion bottle of beer is already being prominently and proudly displayed.  Thanks Ann, Adam, and Mike for a great time.

It was really fun, and great to spend time with folks when you could talk face to face. We get very accustomed to talking to one another single-file on the trail.  
 
It was particularly nice to spend some time with the spouses of friends we don't get a chance to see very often.  Speaking of which...the best idea for awards was Laura's idea to recognize the support provided by our families, not just for this run, of course, but for their generosity all year long. It takes a lot of time away from our families to do this, which is particularly hard for folks with young children. Thanks again!

T-shirts are awesome--I'm tempted to wear it to work backwards today and try to finish reading it. And thanks to everyone for filling out the long questionnaires and sending photos!

Ann, Adam, Mike, thanks for putting all of that together!  Great slide show, awards, and shirt.  I'd hate to think how long it took to make the crossword puzzle?

Steve and I had so much fun yesterday with all of you. Thanks Mike and Adam! Those shirts are so cool - talk about creative.....!
 
And Ann, as usual, you managed to outdo yourself once again. I can't imagine how much time all of that took to think up and actually assemble.
 
Hope this one is on the calendar for next year.

HUGE thanks to Ann for doing all the real work.  Adam and I really didn't do that much.  Ann did a great job and put a ton of work into all the awards.  THANK YOU ANN!!!!!  And the beer bottle awards were awesome.  BTW-my sweet German ornament is hanging on our tree!
 
It was really fun to hang out with everyone when we're not sweating and muddy.  
 
I'm interested to find out what words people are finding on the shirts.  Don't tell everyone where you found it, just let us all know what you found.  I may give out some hints later, but there's more than just your names on the back.
 
Thanks for everyone participating.  We will do it again next year for sure!

Lost your bag of nails? Are you sure you didn't just eat them already?  
 
If the heads of the nails are too tough, even for you, you can spit those back out, and they would be about the right size for screws for the bottom of your shoes. Assuming you actually needed traction.  Traction is for sissies.

The T-Shirts are awesome.  I spent about an hour finding everyones names Sunday night.  Now I guess I'll have to look for more words.
