Superior Trail Races
Mar 23rd, 2011, 8:13pm

I've been wanting to hike the Superior Trail for a while now and am tentatively thinking of trying the old "2 bird" adage this fall.  I was wondering if anyone has ran or has some info on the races (marathon, 50, and 100 mile)?  Short of that is anyone interested in running one of them?  Sounds pretty challenging and intriguing from the race reports I've read.

maybe silt has done this one?  a good friend of mine has done the moose mtn. marathon several times, and she raves about it.  she's tried to get me to do it but hasn't fit with school scheduling.  according to her, the terrain is mountainous, i.e. lots of steep climbs and rocks. looks worthwhile to me.

I got a brief race report this past weekend from a guy who ran the 100 last year.

"I haven't been the same physically or mentally since."

 Cryptic yet strangely compelling.
